Enjoying Competitive Sports

There's something about competitive sports that just makes them irresistibly enjoyable. Maybe it's the thrill of victory, or the agony of defeat. Or maybe it's the lifelong friendships that are formed while rooting for your favorite team. Whatever it is, there's no denying that competitive sports provide a unique and fun experience. Here are a few tips on how to get the most out of them.

1)  Keep the pressure off when they first start.

You know that feeling when you're driving home after an event and your dad asks about the game? Try not to make it too serious. Lighten up! Talk with him or her on how they did, especially if there were some good plays during overtime (or whatever). And remember- this isn't over yet, we've still got another day left of ball.

2)  Competitive sports are not easy to play.

Competitive sports can be difficult to play.  The dedication it takes for a young athlete, who doesn't have the finances or resources necessary in order become successful at their chosen sport is immense and oftentimes never seen by others around them since they're always working so hard behind closed doors which leaves many kids believing that this path will lead only towards mediocrity when really there could potentially exist greatness just waiting within those walls!

3)  Pick the sport you are obsessed with

This will make all the hard work you put in easier.  You love it and want more and more......what else can you ask for!!  It's an obsession!
